DescriptionWhat is the BirdFeeder?
The BirdFeeder is a resource for those with food insecurities, and those that need
food support for themselves or their family. In the past, the Bird Feeder was a
food shelf for students at St. Louis Park High School. As a way to serve our
greater St. Louis Park Public School community, the Bird Feeder is rebranding to
be an emergency source of food for students at all SLP Schools. We will work with
social workers, psychologists, and administration staff to have onsite emergency
bags of food for students and families. Our bags will include information on how
St. Louis Park families can access services and food at STEP. STEP responds to
our neighbors in need by providing access to vital services that foster stability.
School Admins, Social Workers and Psychologist of each school site are authorized requesters for Emergency Food Bags, Hygiene and Snack Boxes. All requests get dropped off at the school site within two business days.
